A Prayer For help

When we are troubled and need a friend,
The best advisor to all men
Is God, Our Father, in Heaven above
Who gives to us His Spirit Love.
In humbleness, faith and care
Breathe to God this simple prayer.

Dear God;
Before Thee I humbly bow today
There is so much that I could say.
I could tell the wrongs I've done
But You know them, one by one.

You know my troubles and my needs
Please deliver me from these
Make my mind both clean and free
Teach me how to live for thee.

As You teach me grant that I
Will learn quickly and apply
All Thy teachings from day to day,
In what I do and what I say.
