Concerning The Articles Being Circulated By "Watch Unto Prayer" Ministries In Which Some Of My Material Is Quoted And Referred To.
Just recently I
returned from a delightful time visiting my Israeli believer
friends in the Land as I try to do
every year. I felt
greatly encouraged by their fellowship. Upon my return however I
find that an article has
appeared in which my
material is being quoted and circulated around the Internet. I
have no problem with this
per se. Any of my
material is freely given as a gift to the Body, to be used as the
LORD leads. However it
must be said that some
of the articles circulated by "Watch Unto Prayer
Ministries" of Tim and Barbara Aho
and the article by Tom Lamb contain a number of
statements and certain doctrinal leanings with which I would
most strongly disagree
-and would say are misleading and even patently erroneous. This is not to say that
everything in the
articles on this subject is bad -but that some of them contain very worrying
statements and
display
a serious lack of balance. For this reason I want to state
emphatically that I have no connection to,
co-operation with, or
any endorsement whatsoever, of "Watch Unto Prayer" or Tom
Lamb, and
that any
articles on their site
containing reference to my materials were prepared without my
knowledge, support or consultation with me for my approval or
consent in using my material.
Tom Lamb's response:
Dear Andrew,
I notice you are using my name on your website (at lease twice) and accuse myself along with others as propagating a number of statements and certain doctrinal leanings with misleading and even patently erroneous content. You also quote our articles as containing very worrying statements and display a serious lack of balance.
Please Brother, if you are going to make such defamatory statements openly about myself / ourselves, could you please categorize my / our errors openly, with documentation provided, a long with scriptural evidence, then maybe your statements may carry some credibility.
Like you, I do not endorse Replacement Theology and do encourage evangelism to the Jewish people. However, what I do not encourage is evangelism to any group or people at the expense of truth or mitigating the scriptures. And like you, I also am the bread winner in our home and work a weekly forty hour plus secular job. However, unlike you, I would not demean anyone who is in a situation where they can afford the luxury of sitting in front of their PC all day, working hard for the Kingdom's sake, as the days are evil.
The reason (and I'm sure many can see) I linked to your HRM articles on The Cross and Word website was because I have an agreed link to Tricia Tillan's website with herself, and have linked to this page before without any protest (that I am aware of anyway) from both you or Tricia. Also, because of the present circumstances, I am pleased you have removed your articles from her site and are standing by your own name, as I would no longer want to be associated with your ministry in any way, because of the unethical action you have taking.
One more thing: If you are not
prepared to answer my questions as above or go on record for your
reasons why you believe my/our articles are misleading and even patently erroneous with very
worrying statements and display a serious lack of balance,
then for the record, in the
company of other bible believing witnesses, would you be prepared
to answer the following questions. This way we would all be
put in the picture of what you actually believe, where you are
coming from, so people can make their own accurate analyst of
your statements and ministry in general:
1. Was the New Testament (as our God breathed / inspired word) written in Greek? Yes/No
2. Is the name Jesus Christ a corrupt Greek version
of God's only begotten Son's name, who came in the
flesh? Yes/No
3. Does the New Covenant completely do away with Jewish ordinances & ceremonies? Yes/No
4. Do we as New testament believers have to go beyond
the English Holy Bible to find the full counsel of
God's salvation and divine
revelation about Him. Yes/No
5. As followers of the most High God, do we need to
follow the Jewish events (feasts and holy days etc.) to
please Him. Yes/No
6. Who is the Bride's (the body of born again believers) root? Is it Israel or is it Jesus? Yes/No
Let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay please. A simple yes or no reply.
7. Does Mishnah, Haggadah, Halakah, Talmud and
Midrash have any bearing on the bible believers faith?
A response please?
Because of Jesus,
Tom Lamb.
